A few days ago we got an email from one of our regular clients who wanted to know how he could send us a bonus for the work we completed appr. a month ago. I asked why do you want to send a bonus and he said that finally he can see the real results of the work we did on his website, sales volume increased, he has many more visitors and more profit in the pocket. That wasn’t all. He was very pleased with the way that we do business, because we have lot of patience and usualy when we close a fixed price deal, we don’t charge anything additional for extra work that was not agreed on in the first place. The point is not to rip off the client, the point is to make a client satisfied! Offcourse, there was some abuse in the past where some clients wanted unlimited revisions but that’s all behind us….

Here at Sharky’s headquarters we are all one big happy family, although there’s currently only 9 of us and we are doing our best to handle everything in the most appropriate way. Every client is very important to us, that’s why people, when get to know us better, they would rather hire us than some large web design and hosting companies with a few hundred employees. It’s noticable that some very large companies often allow themselves mistakes, because they probably think we lose one client more or less, we will get 100 new clients tomorow anyway… Thats’s why I don’t like the idea of business scaling, 10-15 workers can be easily monitored to be assured that they did the work properly, more than 15 cannot. Someone may say hire a few job managers or outsorce workers from underdeveloped countries, yes that can be done but these days it’s very hard to find a decent worker (mission impossible!), so in order to preserve the same level of service quality, scaling is not a option because the only thing that matters are the clients, not the profit. Greediness leads to disaster…
